Special Thanks to Cascade Medical, and John Misasi

Through interviewing Cascade Medical we mapped out the current strategies and systems in place.

Cascade Medical is a hub clinic running addiction related medical programs covering the entirety of western Washington north of King county.

Homelessness and addiction form an ensnaring cycle.

Because drug use and addiction are symptoms of underlying trauma and mental health issues, the relationship between homelessness and addiction can be cyclical.

Haven: Pod uses mobility to work around the challenges of permanent charitable housing.

Pod takes advantage of the temporary spaces offered by charitable organizations.

The process of developing permanent housing presents obstacles that make shelters and charitable project difficult to complete and in some places, completely impossible to get approved. Haven: Pod uses parking lots and courtyards offered by non-profits and charitable organizations to work around the processes that make permanent structure infeasible.
